2019 Wrestling

Winter Wrestling

Who:Boys and girls ages 4 - 14 (through 8th grade)

When: Practices Monday and Wednesday, 6:00-7:30pm @ EHS Wrestling Room beginning October 21.  A Mandatory Parent Meeting is during first practice on 10/21 at 6pm.  Season consists of duels and tournaments on Sundays, dates are still to be determined by league.

Where: Practice at Englewood High School

Cost:  $60.00, due at time of registration.  Singlets and headgears are are available for purchase.  Headgear is a PYS requirement. 

Registration fees include insurance, tournament fees, T-shirt

T-shirt, shorts, wrestling shoes & Tennis shoes are ok.  No clothing with zippers or buttons. NO JEANS.

2020 Rec Basketball

Winter Recreational Basketball

Who: Boys and Girls grades 1-6

When: Practice starts in January, after Englewood School's winter break.  Exact dates and times depend on school; Games on Saturdays.  A mandatory parent meeting will be held during the first week of practice.

Where: Practice will be held at the elementary school your child attends on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.  

Cost: $95.00, which includes jersey.

Recreation/Competitive: Boys and Girls Grades 1 – 8

  • There are four age groups determined by age : 6 – 8 year olds, 8 – 10 year olds, 10 – 12 year olds, and 12 – 14 year olds.
  • Players do not have to reside or go to school in Englewood to participate.  

We are in need of coaches as well as an Athletic Director to assist admin duties. 

Fees: $180.00, includes equipment rental (helmet, gloves, elbow pads, chest pads)  $150.00 if you will be providing your own equipment.   Any family with an outstanding balance as of March 12 will be assessed a $25.00 fee.  Payment plans are available, payment is full is due by the first day of indoor practice.

Scholarship applications are due on/before March 3, 2020.  Applications received after this deadline will be automatically denied.

 

Each player must provide his/her own full size lacrosse stick.  Long sticks are only allowed in the 10 – 12 and 12 – 14 leagues.

 

Indoor Practice:   Beginning in early Feb and ending the week after the time change - Colorado's Finenst High School, Englewood.  Monday and Wednesday nights- times are alternating  

Outdoor Practice:  March 17 - early May  5:30pm - 8pm, Denny Miller Field

Monday Feb 3 Equipment Pick up at Colorado's Finest High school, at the beginning of first practice.

 

Practice Details:  Pre-season conditioning practices will be held beginning 2/3 and run through the first week of March.  These will be Monday and Wednesday, the schedule will posted as we get closer.  There is room for wall ball as well as conditioning, please be sure to have all equipment with you at all practices. 

Regular season practices begin on March 17 and will be held on Tuesday's and Thursdays.  These will be held at Denny Miller Field in Englewood  Each child is expected to be on time for practice dressed in full pads by 5:30.  Each child should bring a marked water bottle for practices. 

Game Details: Games are held throughout the Denver metro area on Saturdays.  In the past we have traveled to Longmont, Commerce City, Aurora, Foothills, Parker, Highlands Ranch, and Golden.  Games vary on times between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.  We plan on holding three home weekends where we wil host teams from all over.  Please plan on being a part of these weekends as they are a big fundraising opportunity for our program.

2018 Coach & Volunteer Code of Conduct

All coaches and volunteers must sign the PYS Code of Conduct.  Please review each point carefully as all volunteers & coaches will be held to this standard at all times.

2018 PYS Concussion Policy

PYS follows the CDC's Heads Up Concussion protocol.

All coaches are required to take the free online Heads Up Concussion training and submit a certificate of completion at the time of accepting the PYS Concussion Policy.
