2021 Diocese of Orlando Catholic School Coaches Conference

MANDATORY FOR ALL DIOCESE OF ORLANDO CATHOLIC SCHOOL COACHES.

HIGH SCHOOL COACHES DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER ONLINE.

The Diocese of Orlando will be hosting the annual Catholic School Coaches Conference on Saturday, August 7, 2021. It will be held on the campus of Bishop Moore Catholic High School located at 3901 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, FL 32804.
 
This conference will provide coaches of all levels opportunities to learn new skills, fine tune old ones and network with other coaches.  A variety of breakout sessions will be offered to coaches in the sports of basketball, soccer, flag football and volleyball.

The keynote speaker will be for Notre Dame Coach Lou Holtz. Coach Holtz is a world-renowned football coach and motivational speaker.

The conference will be from 8:30 AM until 12:30 PM.  Continental breakfast will be provided.

All coaches in grade K-8 must register online and attend this conference.

2021 Parent Like a Champion Workshop - May 18th 6:30 PM

On May 18th at 6:30 PM a vitual seminar will be held. 

This approximately one-hour educational workshop for sports parent is designed is based on the Play Like a Champion approach taught in the coaching clinic and is an essential complement to the Coaching for Character or Coaching as Ministry clinics.

  • The Parent Like a Champion workshop helps parents to navigate through the high pressured and often confusing youth sport environment.
  • Parents who attend this workshop learn how to help their children enjoy their athletic experience and to develop as athletes and as people.
  • Parent Like a Champion also teaches parents what to expect from a quality sports program and how coaches should treat all of the children on their teams. Finally Parent Like a Champion raises the level of sideline behavior by giving parents clear directions for ensuring supportive fan behavior during their children's games. Parent Like a Champion workshops are presented by trained-trainers in local organizations.

Session will be held virtual - An inviation will be sent out before the meeting.
