You must pay by Credit Card after you have completed the online registration. If you do not pay at the end, the registration will be deleted! Contact the league President or Treasurer if you need to pay by check or cash.

Note: Watertown Youth Baseball, Girls Softball & Challenger offers both softball for girls and baseball for girls and boys who reside in Watertown, Massachusetts.

 

WYBB Also offers multiple seasons for our kids to play. Spring, Summer and Fall. Softball will also offer a Winter in-door season. While Baseball and softball will offer winter clinics. 

Only Parents or Legal guardians can enter information for this program. You will need to register each of your children in one of the following divisions:
 


Softball - coach pitch, 10U, 12U,14U
 


Baseball (Little League International ) - Tee Ball (4/5 year olds & First time 6yr olds), Rookies (6/7/8 yr olds),

                                                             Minors (8*, 9-11 yr olds), Majors (10-12 yr olds)

 

Baseball (Babe Ruth) - 13-15 yr olds

 

Baseball (Challenger) - Special Needs 8 thru 21 yr old

If you do not have a child in the program, but would like to volunteer, please contact the President of the league.

The Hitting Clinic will be on Saturdays for 4 weeks starting on 3/7/20

 

It will be offered for 10u/12u at 3pm

14u and older at 4pm

The Clinic will be at Extra Innings Watertown and Instucted by Del Furbish

2020 Spring Baseball Tee Ball

Tee Ball

Tee Ball is for boys and girls, league age 4 to 5 years old, and league age 6 yr olds that have not played Tball before. born between 9/1/2013 and 8/31/2016. They will meet every Saturday starting 5/2/19 for 8 weeks. The players will be following a great program that builds a foundation for basic skills, sportsmanship, and an appreciation for the game through various drills, games, and activities.

Registration for Tee Ball is $75

2020 Spring Baseball Rookies

Rookie Level

Rookies (Coach/Modify Kid pitch) is for boys and girls* league age 6 to 8** years old, LL 2020 Baseball Age Chart . Any league age 6 yr olds that have not played Baseball(Tball) before this spring should play one season in the Tball level. They will meet twice per week Monday through Friday with a start time at 5:30. The first meeting of the week will be skills/practice, and the second meeting will be a game. The season will start the week of 4/27 and run for about 8 or 9 weeks, ending with the public school year. The program for the Rookie Level focuses on the fundamentals of baseball and is designed to build a solid foundation for becoming a successful baseball player.

Registration Cost for Rookies is $100

 

*      Girls are welcome to play in the Rookies league, but most opt to play coach-pitch softball.

**   League age 8 year olds are also eligible for the Minors level, but MUST attend a mandatory tryout.

2020 Spring Baseball Minors

Baseball Minors

The Minors Level is meant for boys and girls league ages 8* thru 11 born between 5/1/2008 through 8/31/2012. This level is a competitive level with focus still on developing the players baseball skills. This level will have competitively scheduled games with a playoff for a champion at the end of the season. Practices will be scheduled by the Manager of the team if/when time and space will allow. This is an all kid pitch level.

*- All league age 8 year olds will need to take part in a tryout/evaluation to determine if their baseball skill level is strong enough to play in the minors. If its determined that their baseball skill level is not strong enough they will be placed on a Rookie level team.

All league age 9-11 year old players will need to take part in an evaluation as all players at this level will be drafted by the managers of the teams.

2020 Spring Baseball Majors

Baseball Majors

The Majors Level is meant for boys and girls ages 10 thru 12 born between 5/1/2007 thru 8/31/2008. This is a competitive level with scheduled competitive games with a playoff at the end of the season to determine a champion. Practices will be scheduled by the managers of the team if/when space and time will allow.

All returning Majors players will need to participate in an evaluation as the Managers of the teams will draft the teams.

Any player that has not been on a Majors roster before this season will need to participate in a tryout/evaluation. Any player that is not drafted onto a Majors team will be placed in the Minors draft pool and be drafted onto a Minors team.

2020 Spring Softball Coach Pitch

Ages 6-7 
 
Softball Coach Pitch
Ages 6 and 7 (8 year olds on parents request). Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd graders
Players move up after one season in TBall or previous year of softball. The focus of this level is still on fun, participation and introduction to softball skills. Coaches will begin to give instruction in the basics of softball, such as a proper batting stance and swing and some fielding skills involved with playing the different positions. Players will also begin to learn the rules of the game. The games are three innings, all players bat and play the field every inning of the game and the coaches pitch to the batters on their own team. As with Tee-Ball, scores are not kept and there are no standings and no playoffs.

Ages 8-10. 3rd grade & 4th graders
At this level players are introduced to the competitive nature of the game. Players will be introduced to kid pitched games. The primary goal to this level is to introduce all aspects of the game of softball to the players. Over the course of the season, in addition to kid pitching, the kids will learn bunting, stealing and catching). We anticipate playing games against neighboring town teams.
