IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING...
For 2020, we have set up separate registrations for the two options in our BVL Fall Ball program.
Register HERE for our traditional BVL Sunday Skills program. Alternatively, scroll down below on the page to register your son for our CYLA Fall League program.
BVL Sunday Skills is our traditional Fall Ball program: six Sunday sessions held outside at Manhattan Middle School in Boulder. Beginning, intermediate, and advanced players are welcome to register for the Sunday Skills program. We will group players on the basis of age, experience & skill level. Sessions will consist of fast-paced drills & skill development, with game-like situations and scrimmages at the end of each session.
REFUND POLICY: In the event that BVL Fall Ball gets cancelled before September 13th due to the COVID situation, we will provide a 100% refund to all registrants. Parents may also withdraw a registration for any reason before September 13th to receive a full refund. In the event of any season cancellation occurring after September 13th, we will provide pro-rated refunds based on the number of sessions run.
US LACROSSE: All registrants must have a valid US Lacrosse membership valid through October 31, 2020. This registration will redirect you to the US Lacrosse site first to obtain membership if necessary. If you have issues with US Lacrosse membership, please email firstname.lastname@example.org-- it will not prevent your son from playing with us this fall. Cost is $30. This is a condition of our insurance provider and a requirement of participation in BVL.
GROUP FORMATION: We will group all players on the basis of grade with an age-based cutoff, and prior lacrosse experience, in preparation for the Spring 2021 CYLA season. For example, a player who was U9 last spring will now be a U10 player this year. Click here for more details: 2020 AGE-BASED DIVISIONS
Sunday Skills Field Assignments: Parents will receive an email regarding their son's specific field and group assignment at Manhattan no later than Wednesday September 9th. First session will be held on Sunday September 13th.
SUNDAY SKILLS DATES: Sundays September 13, 20, 27 and October 4, 11, 18.
SUNDAY SKILLS TIMES: 1100am- 100pm.
SUNDAY SKILLS LOCATION: Outdoors at Manhattan Middle School lacrosse fields, 290 Manhattan Drive, Boulder.
UNIFORMS: All returning BVL players should wear their numbered Stylax game jerseys to every session. New players participating in the Sunday Skills program will be provided with a reversible Boulder Lacrosse practice jersey.
EQUIPMENT: Players must provide their own equipment. We have a limited supply of equipment which may be available to borrow. Email email@example.com to inquire. All equipment is loaned on a first-come, first-served basis and we cannot make any guarantees about availability. You will need to purchase any equipment that is not available to borrow (see list below).
- Boys must have a boys lacrosse stick, helmet, gloves, shoulder and elbow pads, a cup, and a mouthguard.
- Hockey gear is acceptable for new players. Hockey helmets must have a 4 point strap and be NOCSAE approved
- We recommend Dick's Sporting Goods for lacrosse gear. See coupons for Dick's Sporting Goods on our website.
- BVL members will save 20% off all in-store purchases (not just lacrosse gear) at Dick's Sporting Goods during BVL Shop Days from August 21st through August 24th. Click here for a printable coupon: BVL Shop Days Flyer
COST: $165 plus any US Lacrosse membership cost or renewal ($30).
WAIT-LISTED PLAYERS: Unpaid registrants will be wait-listed if payment is not received within 24 hours of registration. Team limits have been set for all age groups in the system-- once an age group is full, players will be automatically wait-listed and may not be guaranteed placement on a team. We DO NOT RECOMMEND that you delay registering or payment as age groups will fill up.
HEADWRAPZ: BVL Headwrapz are custom vinyl decals, optional for players to purchase and create a custom Boulder Lacrosse helmet. They are available at http://headwrapz.com
SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarships are available to qualified families, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to make a confidential request.
DONATIONS: Please consider making a donation on the online registration form. 100% of our donations are used to fund scholarships for BVL players. Boulder Valley Lacrosse is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, so your donation is tax-deductible.
