BCJB provides baseball at four different levels.  Below you will find a basic description of each level along with some possible expectations that come along with each.

*MAJORS*
 Majors baseball provides competitive play for our top level players.  Teams at the Majors level are generally comprised of the most experienced and accomplished players in each age group.  Although BCJB does not dictate that majors teams play in a certain number of tournaments, we strongly endorse the coaches to seek the competition and environment found in tournaments.  Playing baseball at the Majors level takes a very strong commitment from both the players and parents.  It is not unusual for a Majors team to play 50-60  games per season (or more) starting in March with play lasting through mid-July.  League play for a  Majors team is designed with mid-week play to facilitate tournament play on the weekends. Costs associated with Majors level baseball can range from $800-$1300 per season including the league fees.  While this may seem high, the goal is to provide an opportunity to play the highest level of baseball possible at a comparatively reasonable price.

*AAA*
 AAA baseball is considered our “second” competitive level.  These teams are generally comprised of very good baseball players that have either not reached the Majors level yet or have chosen not to make the commitment to that level of play. Generally AAA teams will play in 4-7 tournaments per season, which again is at the discretion of the coaches.  Tournament play is not controlled by BCJB, but is strongly endorsed to facilitate the improvement of the players.   Costs associated with AAA teams can range from  $400-$800 per season including the league fees.

 *AA/A*
 BCJB considers AA/A teams to be our developmental level teams. Generally these teams are made up of players with less experience than the upper levels.  The coaches at this level are strongly encouraged to focus their attention on the development of fundamental baseball skills.  AA/A teams will play against teams of like experience and ability in league play.  The tournament experience is also available at the AA level.  AA coaches may choose to play in 1-3 tournaments per season to allow for the same improvement curve as the upper level teams.  Single A teams are mostly comprised of players new to the game and focus 90% of their attention on league play and developing fundamentals.  It is possible these teams may play in a tournament, but as above, this is up to the coaches and families.

 

2021 Minor 1st Year Coach Pitch Age 6

AA -�Coach Pitch for 6yr olds

  1. Players may not be more than�6 years old as of 4/30/21.
  2. 10 league games are typically held on Saturdays with 1 end of season single elimination tournament.
  3. Games will be�5 innings or one�hour and fifteen minutes.�
  4. 1 paid young teenager will�umpire�each game.
  5. Each team will have all kids in the batting order.
  6. All players will play in the field on defense (c, p, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss and all remaining players will be in the outfield).
  7. Each team may send 9 batters to the plate or record 3-outs per at bat or half inning whichever comes first.
  8. There are no walks. �Each batter will receive up to 6 pitches from the coach.��If the ball is not put in play on the 6th pitch the batter will hit from a tee that is placed on home plate.
  9. All volunteer coaches must successfully complete a background check and be concussion compliant.
  10. 2 one hour�weeknight practices.

2021 Minor 2nd Year Coach Pitch Age 7

 

AAA - Coach Pitch for 7yr olds

  1. Players may not be more than 7 years old as of 4/30/21.
  2. 10 league games are typically held on Saturdays with 1 end of season single elimination tournament.
  3. Games will be 5 innings or one hour and fifteen minutes. 
  4. 2 paid young teenagers will umpire each game.
  5. Each team will have all kids in the batting order.
  6. All players will play in the field on defense (c, p, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss and all remaining players will be in the outfield).
  7. Each team may send 9 batters to the plate or record 3-outs per at bat or half inning whichever comes first.
  8. There are no walks.  Each batter will receive up to 6 pitches from the coach.  Strikeouts are on the 6th pitch only.  If the ball is not put in play on the 6th pitch the batter is out.
  9. All volunteer coaches must successfully complete a background check and be concussion compliant.
  10. 2 90 minute weeknight practices.

2021 Minor 8yr old Modified Kid Pitch

 

AAAA - 8 yr old Modified Kid Pitch

  1. Players may not be more than 8 years old as of 4/30/21.
  2. 10 league games are typically held on Saturdays with 1 end of season single elimination tournament.
  3. Games will be 6 innings or one and one half hour. 
  4. 2 paid young teenagers will umpire each game.
  5. Each team will have all kids in the batting order.
  6. All players will play in the field on defense (c, p, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss and all remaining players will be in the outfield).
  7. Each team may send 9 batters to the plate or record 3-outs per at bat or half inning whichever comes first.
  8. There are no walks.  Each batter will receive up to 6 pitches from the pitcher.   If after the 6th pitch a batter hasn't put the ball in play or struck out a coach will throw 2 pitches to the batter until they put it in play, swing and miss or watch it.
  9. All volunteer coaches must successfully complete a background check and be concussion compliant.
  10. 2 90 minute weeknight practices.

The 8yr old Modified Kid Pitch baseball fee balance of $195.00 is due at the time of registration. The payment system is setup through a secure third party merchant account. League Athletics and Bear Creek Junior Sports Association does not have access to the credit information entered.

A - T-Ball for PreK and kindergarten

  3. Games will be 4 innings or one hour. 
  4. 1 paid young teenager will umpire each game.
  5. Each team will have all kids in the batting order.

  7. Each team may send 9 batters to the plate or record 3-outs per at bat or half inning whichever comes first.

Spring 2021 Junior Baseball Registration (8-14 year olds)

A $25 "DRAFT DEPOSIT"  WILL BE DUE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.  The remaining fee balance of $325.00 will be due on the following dates; $175.00 on 11/16/2020 with the balance of $150.00 due on 01/18/2021, if you choose to pay by credit card.  The payment system is set up through a secure third party merchant account.  League Athletics and Bear Creek Junior Sports Association do not have access to the credit card information entered.  Anyone that does not wish to utilize the payment system needs to pay the full $350.00 in fees at the time of registration.  
             

BCJB is here to provide an opportunity for players that reside in and around our High School areas.  These "home" areas include but are not limited to Bear Creek, D'Evelyn, Kennedy, Green Mountain and Dakota Ridge High Schools.  We do welcome players from any area looking for quality coaching and competitive play at the "AA" through "Majors" levels.  If you are unsure of which Home Area High School your player's residence or school address falls, please click on one of the following links. 
In line with AYL roster requirements, BCJB welcomes players from outside our home areas to tryout and seek placement on our competitive teams.  We "encourage" younger and/or new players to start play in their home areas.
