The league was established in 1958 as an organization formed to provide a program for the youth of the Pleasant Hill area in cooperation with the Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District, the Mt. Diablo Unified School District and Diablo Valley College.

Baseball - Player Age as of April 30, 2020

Softball - Player Age as of December 31, 2019

Please register your player for age group they would normally play in for 2019 even if the player is trying out to "play up" for the season.

Players that want to move up to Pioneer, American, National, or Western must attend the Player Evaluation on Saturday, January 4, 2020.


General Registration Information

  • Players moving up to Intermediate should contact the Commissioner for that age group.
  • Instructional players do NOT need to attend Player Evaluations
  • New players must present a copy of the players birth certificate at the Walk Thru.  PHBA does not keep the copy, only verifies the birth date information is correct in the player's profile.
  • A parent or guardian of new players must attend one of the two scheduled Walk Thrus.
  • ​At these events, you will get a chance to meet the commissioners, sign up for volunteer opportunities and learn more about the upcoming 2020 season.
  • A Walk Thru usually lasts 15-30 minutes. Kids are welcome to attend, but are not required.


  • The cost for registration is $210.00
  • There is a LAFF Fee of $200 that will come due and will automatically bill on June 15, 2020 if you have not completed your volunteer requirement and submitted your LAFF form by that time.
  • You will be required to pay in full or select a payment plan at the time of registration.
  • A $25 Late Fee will be added to registrations on December 16, 2019
  • There is a $20 discount for additional siblings.
  • If you cancel the payment upon registration, your registration will be waitlisted in 24 hours and you will need to complete the payment in order to be "registered". You can complete the payment within the 24 hour period.

Coaches and Managers are required to attend a Walk Thru to complete caoching paperwork and be fingerprinted for background checks
