2019 Leadership Development Program

2019 Leadership Development Program

The Leadership Development Program (L.D.P) provides high school and college volunteers an opportunity to work and coach alongside Homegrown Lacrosse staff at high school and youth programs.

Through this program, L.D.P counselors gain confidence in their teaching ability and develop a better understanding of lacrosse in the context of their own game. This translates into on-field confidence and expands life skills off the field as well. Each L.D.P counselor works as camp and program counselors and can be responsible for groups of 6 to 15 athletes at a time.

The program provides a unique opportunity for future coaches to develop their coaching and leadership skills on and off the field. In addition to facilitating the next generation of coaches, the program provides an opportunity for younger players to meet and build relationships with players in their community.
