Hockey is a fun, life-long sport. There is room for anyone and everyone has potential to grow. Put into practice, this means that the time on the ice will be put to good use to learn skills to become competent players. Your child will train the same is if he or she were playing in a league.

Former McQuaid Jesuit High School hockey coach Al Vyverberg is pleased to be part of our coaching staff for the After School Hockey Program.
*Please note that while hockey experience is not a prerequisite for After School Hockey, this is NOT a learn-to-skate program.

Players provide their own practice jerseys and equipment. Required equipment includes: hockey skates, shin/knee pads, pants, athletic cup (boys and girls), shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, neck guard, helmet, socks, practice jersey, mouth guard, stick.

Welcome to the 2019-20 Learn to Skate USA Registration with GCCC!
This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, sign consents and submit payment for session 3. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Learn to Skate USA membership number (see below for details).
GCCC Learn to Skate USA Session #3

Cost $98.00 which covers session # 1, instruction and ice rental expenses per skater.
NEW: Please note that a LEARN TO SKATE USA membership is REQUIRED to participate in any Learn To Skate classes taught by the GCCC staff. Please obtain this membership online atwww.LearntoSkateUSA.combefore continuing with this registration and then provide your LTS USA membership number when indicated in process. Your skater’s registration will not be complete without this membership. This membership will require a small fee that provides participants with many benefits (membership benefits will be detailed on Learn to Skate website). This is a one time annual fee paid directly to Learn to Skate program.
The one-time annual fee for Learn to Skate USA membership is $16.00 *
* A processing and handling fee of $1.25 will be applied at the time of checkout. Learn to Skate USA instructors over the age of 18 years old may be charged an additional fee.
REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
Welcome to the Learn to Skate USA classes offered by GCCC. We are looking forward to a wonderful season of fun and learning. Please take note that there are some changes to our registration process. We are requiring on-line registration. We will always accept paper registrations, but are encouraging everyone to register through our on-line system. Steps are outlined below. Please do not hesitate to contact us at programs@gccc.org with any questions.
NEW STEP
Before registering for GCCC Learn to Skate USA at www.gccc.org, all participants must obtain a Learn to Skate USA membership number by registering on-line at www.LearntoSkateUSA.com. This membership number will be required in order to complete your GCCC on-line registration.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
NEW - Register with Learn to Skate USA to get your Learn to Skate membership number. Follow link to Learn to Skate website (www.LearntoSkateUSA.com) and follow instructions to join program. At the end of process, you will receive a membership number, which you will need for GCCC Learn to Skate USA registration through GCCC website. A small annual membership fee of $17.25 will need to be made at Learn to Skate USA to become a member of this national program. (This is the same fee that has always been required and collected in registration. The only difference is members join and pay Learn to Skate USA directly). Benefits of this membership can be found through their website.

2019-20 Tuesday Adult Beginner Hockey
This weekly, coed program is designed for beginner adult hockey players 18 years and older. It meets every Tuesday night through the season. This is a no check league. Full equipment is required (helmet, shoulder pads, pants, shin pads, elbow pads and of course.. skates). Please ensure you read and sign off on all agreements on the registration form.
Cost is $300 for 25 weeks paid in full up front. Otherwise it is $15 per night/session.
Sessions are at 9:30 PM 9/24-10/29 and 9:00 PM 11/7-3/24 ***subject to change
On Dec 3, 10, 17 & Feb 11 skate is at 9:30 due to Braves High School Game.
No Skate on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve
Please register through the website regardless of payment choice. Payment can be taken through website registration or in person at Civic Center. If you choose to pay at facility or are paying weekly, please register and skip payment screen when presented.
