SCHOLARSHIPS: Newton SouthEast Little League a scholarship fund to aid families facing economic hardship. It is the policy of NSELL that no child should be denied the opportunity to play baseball due to a family's financial situation. The application process is a simple one; all that needs to be done is to send a request to our Treasurer/Player Agent. This request is confidential and does not require financial documentation.  Newton SouthEast Little League is sensitive to both family needs and privacy.  If you wish to take advantage of the scholarship, please email our Treasurer/Player Agent  .

Fall 2021 Majors Evaluation

All Little League age 10, 11, and 12 year olds who were not a member of a Spring 2021 Majors team should attend this evaluation session.  Players who were on a Majors roster for the first time during the Fall 2021 season should attend this session.  Players born between 09/01/2009 and 08/31/2012 are eligible to play in Majors.

Note: Participation in a 2021 Fall Majors team does not mean a player is automatically drafted to a Spring 2022 Majors team.

When: Saturday, October 23rd, Richardson Field

Once registered, we'll provide a signup genus to signup for a 15 minute time slot.

Please Note: Returning Spring 2021 Majors players do not need to attend.  Fall Majors players who were not on a Spring 2021 Majors team must attend.  The information from this session will be used to create teams in the Spring.  Attending is not a guarantee of being placed on a majors team.

Players will be evaluated on hitting, fielding, and (optionally) pitching.  Additional information will be distributed to all registered families.

Makeup Majors tryouts may be scheduled in the winter for all players who have an unavoidable conflict, subject to COVID-19 guidelines.  Players who are not able to attend will be considered for the Draft via prior coach evaluations.

Note: Players will be asked to sign up for a 15 minute timeslot.  Please adhere to your timeslot.  For health reasons, the following conditions are in place:

  • Each player must bring their own equipment - helmet, glove, and bat.  No sharing of equipment is permitted except for family members.
  • Parents should not enter the field.  There are plenty of locations to watch.
  • Players should not attend if they sick, have an immediate family member who is sick or have exposure that requires quarantining.  Please use common sense.
