About the Annual Meeting and Board Elections

10.1     The offices constituting the Executive Board and six at - large members of the Board of Directors shall be elected by a majority vote of the General Membership present at the Annual Meeting.  Nominations for the open board positions will be accepted from the General Membership prior to and during the annual meeting.  All nominees must accept or decline the nomination.  Nominees who have accepted nominations will be voted on by the General Membership.

Elected Board Positions to be Voted Upon:

  • President - 2 yr term
  • Vice President--2 yr term
  • Secretary - 2 yr term
  • Director of Referees --2 yr term
  • At Large Board Member - 2 yr term
  • At Large Board Member--2 yr term
  • At Large Board Member--2 yr term
  • At Large Board Member--2 yr term

Board position descriptions 

VYHA Bylaws

Voting procedures (as per the VYHA Board at the March 1, 2016 Board meeting):

  • A list of General Members in good standing will be prepared in advance of the annual meeting and approved by the Board.
  • Ballots will be distributed to those on the list upon their arrival at the annual meeting.
  • A maximum of 2 ballots will be distributed per family.
  • General members in good standing who are not parents of guardians of a player will receive one ballot (not to exceed 2 ballots per family).
