Belmont Youth Hockey welcomes kids who are interested in playing goalie.  There are some unique aspects of this position in the game of hockey and BYHA has implemented some support to help develop goalie talent and to assist those who want to explore the position.

• Equipment  BYHA has goalie equipment available that can be borrowed by registered participants of the program.
• Skills Training  BYHA offers once a week goalie trainingfrom November through January. We bring in a goalie coaching group from Michals Hockey Academy to lead the sessions to help build skills and confidence. 
• Try it out    Any registered BYHA player who is interested in trying goalie is welcomed and ecouraged to do so.  Please contact your team’s coach, or Mike French at mfrench@fefrench.com for an informational conversation.  Players are encouraged to try playing the position for a practice or a game.
• Reduced Tuition  Players who commit to playing goalie for the full season are eligible for reduced BYHA tuition.
