Please see attached spreadsheet with the structure for your respective division's Post-Season Tournament and the schedule for each tournament as determined by the Board of Directors.

Some comments below:

  • All divisions have SEVEN teams, so the tournament structures are imperfect.  Such is life!

Majors

  • We will fill out the seeding once we finish the regular season and have final regular season records.
  • Note that the Sunday Championship is WINNER TAKE ALL.  The team coming through the Losers' Bracket doesn't have to beat an undefeated team from the Winners' bracket twice.  One Game, One Champ!

AAA

  • NBLL does not keep official standings for AAA during the regular season, so teams were randomly assigned to pools (picked out of Mark Sunderland’s dirty baseball cap).
  • The two teams with the best win-loss records from each Pool advance to the Saturday Semi-Finals.  We understand that with small pools and few games, there will likely be a need for tie-breakers.  For teams with identical win-loss records, tie breakers will be, in order:
    1. Head-to-Head Record
    2. Fewest Runs Allowed
    3. Most Runs Scored
    4. Coin Flip
  • Pool games and Saturday's games will apply the rule that no inning can start more than 1 hour 45 minutes after the start of the game.
  • Sunday's game will apply the modified rule that no inning can start more than 2 hours after the start of the game.
  • We ask that teams 1) pay close attention to the start time (confirm the start time at the beginning of the game with both Managers and the umpire) and 2) strictly adhere to the rule of NOT starting an inning after 1:45 (and you are REQUIRED to start another inning if it less than 1:45 from the start of the game).  Strict adherence to the time rule is important for fairness to all teams (especially since tie-breakers are tied to runs and the number of innings you play directly affects runs).
  • The home team for Sunday's game will be determined by a coin flip.

AA

  • With so many games being packed into the week, we're going to play a lot of AA games at Centennial.  Embrace it!

Let's hope that the weather continues to behave and that all of these games are played as scheduled.

Thanks and we'll see you out at the fields.
