Canandaigua Knights Hockey is offering a Student Coach program beginning this season. If you are assisting with a team or are interested in becoming a Student Coach please contact the CKH ACE Director, Craig Towne, to express your interest.
All player/teen coaches must participate in the CKH Student Coaching Program. The following qualifications must be met to become a Student Coach. We encourage young people in their early-late teens to become involved in coaching, and we encourage our coaches to involve these young people in their coaching plans, using the guidelines below. Ask the coach of a team below your age level if he/she could use your assistance and would sponsor you as a Student Coach upon completion of the requirements.
Notify organization’s ACE Director (Craig Towne) of your interest in becoming a Student Coach.
Make sure you are currently registered as a Player/Coach with USA Hockey. If not, you must register with USA Hockey as a Player/Coach in order to participate.
Register with CKH as a Student Coach by going to ckhockey.org and following the Registration links to the Student Coach page.
Attend the CKH provided Student Coach training session. Date of training session to be announced.
