The clinic is broken into 2 segments (1) Basic skill development where the player learns to catch, throw, cradle and scoop ground balls and (2) Team concepts and play where the player learns positions and positioning on the field.
Boys Clinic - Kindergarten - 4th Grade
The boys clinic is for players new to the game. The clinic was started 2010 and had 20+ 1st / 2nd grade players participate. Last year we expanded the clinic to some older age groups who are just getting started.
Kindergarten / 1st / 2nd Grade Clinic
An introduction to lacrosse for players looking to catch the wave of lacrosse fever early. The registration fee does not include a jersey. They must be purchased separately during registration. Returning players may use their jersey from last year.
Equipment for 1st / 2nd Grade Clinic
Players need to provide their own equipment which includes stick, arm guards, shoulder pads, gloves, athletic cup, and a mouthpiece. A lacrosse helmet is also required. The Raiders currently has some helmets available to be borrowed. Our goal is to be able to provide a helmet for every participant but there is a limited number of helmets available.
1st / 2nd Grade Clinic Uniforms
The registration fee does not include a jersey. Jerseys must be purchased separately during registration. Returning players may use their jersey from last year.
3rd / 4th Grade Clinic
This is an accelerated clinic for 3rd / 4th graders just getting into the great sport of lacrosse. This clinic will also introduce basic skill development and team concepts but will play more games against similar teams in surrounding townships.
For those 3rd / 4th grade players that pick up the game faster will also have an opportunity to move up to the "Club" team after an evaluation during the season.
