The 21st annual CLL Columbus Day Ron Camp golf outing went off without a hitch, as 123 golfers, friends and family enjoyed a beautiful day of weather and camaraderie at Limekiln Golf Club.

We must first thank our incredible sponsors, whose support is so vital to Cheltenham Little League's success.
Our two event supporters, Paul Bufty and the Financial Group of Philadelphia and longtime CLL stalwart Bruce Rangnow, whose guidance over the years has been invaluable. Comcast Business was our golf ball sponsor for the second consecutive year and we had numerous tee sponsors who contributed a great deal of their time and support.
We would be remiss without mentioning several other key contributors to CLL, Len Garza and the Premier Group, Jim Schott of Global Home Lending, Art Krevitz, Barandon & Hollinger, Timmy D's Deli and EZ Storage. In addition, for the sixth straight year, the Alcom Print Group produced our program at no cost and the great efforts of John and Carol Campoli followed suit, as they took team photos of all the groups and had them ready before dinner even started!
"My guests and I thoroughly enjoyed the day," said former CLL Challenger Program Director Pete Davis. "The food was great as always! And the course volunteers/rangers were very nice too. We had a wonderful time. What we really liked was the "move up hole." Thinking of using this idea in another outing I play in. It is a great strategy!"
The winning group featured the  threesome of William Brooks, Bob Johnson and Steve Mills, who carded a 10-under-par round of 60, defeating two groups by one shot. The skill prizes were awarded to Kevin Downey, Tom McCurdy and Tom Karr for Closest to the Pins and the Straightest Drive trophies were handed out to Tom McGinniss Sr, George Priestley and Roland Volllman. A big thank you to Spikes Trophies for their generous donation. We had three Pot-of-Gold winners, each capturing $105, Roger Farrell, Barry Hyman and Pete Wolf.
"I loved it," added POG winner Farrell. "Great job by you guys. Really good food before and after and great prizes. In fact, I got a nice Under Armour shirt."
This year we added a new twist to the outing, as several anonymous donors contributed to Cheltenham Little League to sponsor a foursome of golfers made up of the Cheltenham Township Police Department. CLL was proud to welcome John Slavin, Jim Slavin, Pete Slavin and Jesse Tyler to our event.
"Our group commented that we had the first fine fall day to play," said former Old York Road LL President and CLL board member Jim Schott. "The weather was brisk but very comfortable. It was a total blast as always. The food and beverages were plentiful, almost as prolific as our yucks! Another great day not to work."

As always, we had tremendous support from our board of directors led by President Michael Cornelison and volunteer coordinator Gail Chase, who crafted some amazing and creative gift baskets for our arms' length auction and decorated our tables to perfection.

Former CLL President and current Ward Commissioner Irv Brockington volunteered throughout the day and was impressed by our efforts. "Outstanding job done by an outstanding group of people. Lots of smiles."
On a personal note, I want to thank all of our volunteers, many of whom took the day off from work to help us put on the best golf outing/fundraiser in the area. My partners in crime, Ron, Tim Hassall and Gail, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
By the way, number 22 is already less than a year away, so mark your calendar for Monday, October 9, 2017!!!!
