Dartmouth FC Spring Program

Overview:
The Dartmouth FC Spring program
is designed to allow players to experience a higher level of competitive soccer while maintaining an instructional component. The program is administered by the South Coast Soccer League.

SCSL is a competitive travel league.  These teams travel to and compete against other area teams from the  SCSL, which is made up of 21 different towns or groupings of towns in Southeastern MA., Cape Cod, and Islands.  The age groups the league sponsors are Grade 2 - PG+2 boys and girls. Games are generally played on a Saturday or Sunday, depending on the division. Most age groups have multiple divisions except Grade 2.

Sign-ups are held during the fall for both players and coaches who are interested.  Open tryouts are held in late October, during which coaches rate and choose players for each team in each division.  Players are assigned to teams and divisions according to coaches ratings.  DYSA tries to place each child on a team but making a team is not guaranteed.

The spring season generally starts the first week in April. All Division 1 teams from Grade 5 and up have a chance to compete in the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions (MTOC)  at the end of the season which is held the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association ( MYSA) in late June. These tournament participants are the championship (and some wild card) teams from each 1st Division of 10 Massachusetts leagues participating in the state tournament. The MYSA website www.mayouthsoccer.com. Friendship tournaments for Grade 2-4 may be held at the end of the season.

Registration fee is $150 which is used to pay referees, SCSL registration fees, and to provide players with a soccer jersey.
