HYSA, Harwinton Youth Sports Association, soccer, baseball, Field Hockey, Basketball, Harwinton fun kids,The Harwinton Youth Sports Association (HYSA) is a non-profit organization formed to develop and maintain a high quality of recreational activities
Our Field Hockey Program is designed to introduce young players to the sport of field hockey, with the opportunity to teach them the fundamentals and concepts of field hockey while having fun. We offer our programs to both Harwinton and Burlington residents in grades 3-6. Our primary season is in the fall, and runs for approximately 8-10 weeks. Off season, we also offer an indoor winter program for grades 3rd through 8th.
The coach for the 3rd/4th and 5th/6th grade team is Rachel McFadden. Practices begin the first week of school for Region 10, on Wednesday September 2, 2019 at Lewis Mills High School. Practices will be every Wednesday from 5:30-7:00pm. As the days get shorter, we will end practice a little earlier.
The 3rd/4th grade typically have 3-4 games usually played on the weekend. The 5th/6th grade games are every Sunday at 2:30. There will be no games held Labor Day Weekend or Columbus Day Weekend. Schedules will be posted in August.
We are in need of an assistant coaches! We cannot run this program as it has run in the past without your help. Please contact Terri Wilmarth if you are interested in coaching!
