28th Annual Glastonbury Spring Warm-Up Tournament Invitation

This year the tournament will be held Friday April 23, 2021, Saturday April 24, 2021 and Sunday April 25, 2021 in Glastonbury, Connecticut. The tournament is sanctioned by the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association, which is affiliated with USYSA. Please read the following carefully before applying.

The tournament is open to boys and girls teams from town travel teams and premier/elite club teams, U-9 to U-14/15. Teams will be placed into divisions and winners are selected by a point system for each division. All teams will play 4 gamesin a round robin format. The U-11 through U-14/15 age groups are competitive divisions and trophies will be awarded to all division winners and medals for second place. The U-9 and U-10 age groups are non-competitive divisions. The U-9 and U-10 games will be played in 7v7 format for two 25 minute halves. The U-11 and U-12 games will be played in 9v9 format for two 25 minute halves. The U-13 and U-14/15 games will be played in 11v11 format for two 30 minute halves. It is customary that U9 & U10 players exchange team/club patches after each game.

The tournament will consist of Classic, League level, and premier level teams from all over New England, New York and New Jersey. The tournament selection committee makes every effort to create balanced divisions with an opportunity to play teams from different areas. The selection criteria for acceptance into the tournament are based on team record, level of competition, and the adequate distribution of teams applying. An effort is made to accommodate game schedules with travel plans for out of state teams, but we recommend that out of state teams plan on lodging for both Friday and Saturday nights. Please note that each team will need to establish a registration, with a Logon ID and Password. You will receive a confirmation email from GotSoccer once you have registered. If you do not receive an email, please make sure your email address is correct.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and frequently changing guidelines regarding youth sports play, fees will not be charged until the tournament committee confirms that the tournament can proceed. Teams must still register and provide all required information and documentation to reserve their spot.  Credit card information will be collected at registration, but not charged until the tournament is confirmed to proceed. 

Entry fees for teams: 

• 7v7 (U9-U10) will be $575
• 9v9 (U11-U12) $600
• 11v11 (U13-U14/15) $650 

This fee is non-refundable once a team is admitted, including weather related events (see 2021 Rules). We will not charge your payment method if your team application is rejected or waitlisted. Applications must be submitted and pre-paid using our online registration system by February 15, 2021.

Acceptance and rejection e-mails will then follow by February 15, 2021

Your application will not be considered complete without the following information:

• Separate and unique contact information for each team to avoid scheduling conflicts once the tournament seeding and scheduling are underway.
• A CJSA or state approved roster
• Desired placement (Most Competitive, Very Competitive, Competitive or Least Competitive).

NOTE: This information is used when we are placing teams in divisions. Due to number of teams we cannot review every team’s individual

record. We do not guarantee you will get the placement you request but we will make every effort to place according to your assessment of your team.

Glastonbury Hartwell Soccer Club continues to make investments back to the town and its fields. Proceeds from this and all previous tournaments are used to continually develop our excellent sports complexes.
