In 1996, Worthington Youth Boosters started a middle school field hockey program. It began as a way to introduce girls to hockey at an earlier age. It also helped level the playing field with field hockey programs at private schools, that up until that point almost had a monopoly on who made it to the High School State Tournament.
In 2009, Worthington Youth Boosters expanded its field hockey program to include an elementary school age developmental program for 4th through 6th grade athletes.
Our program is rooted in the principles of participation, sportsmanship and skill development. And we have a ton of fun! Check out our program information for more details.

Like other WYB sports, WYB Field Hockey is lead by a sport director who has been nominated and elected to the WYB Board of Directors and volunteers their time to run this program. Anyone who has an interest in a leadership role within WYB Field Hockey, please contact the sport director.
