Boys' Youth LAcrosse Rules:
The National Federation of State High School Association's (NFHS) 2012 Boys Lacrosse Rules Book shall govern US Lacrosse boys youth play, except as amended below. The US Lacrosse Men’s Game Committee has approved these exceptions to the NFHS Rules.
Send questions about the US Lacrosse Rules for Boys Youth Lacrosse to the US Lacrosse Men’s Game Rules Subcommittee at firstname.lastname@example.org
. Please do not contact NFHS about the following rules.
High School Boys Rules:
Rules for high school play are written by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
Youth and High School Rules:
US Lacrosse writes the rules for youth girls' lacrosse. Visit the Youth Rules 2012 page for additional information. US Lacrosse also writes the rules for high school girls'/women's lacrosse, which are endorsed by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
The new US Lacrosse youth rules that take effect with the 2012 season will be published in both the US Lacrosse Women's Rule Book and a new guidebook available for players, coaches, umpires and parents. While some youth leagues may modify some of the rules for league games, the US Lacrosse youth rules as published will govern non-league games and the US Lacrosse Regional and National Championships. The new youth rules were developed with a focus on player development, team play, sportsmanship and safety, and US Lacrosse encourages their adoption by youth girls' leagues across the country.
