This is the first year Newtown will participate in this age group.  Try-outs for this team will be held during the beginning parts of 2015.  More details on dates, times and locations will come after the holidays. 

For those of you unsure what a travel league would look like at this age, below are some details from the league commissioner:

1. There are no win/loss records kept.
2. Everyone in the lineup bats.
3. There is a 10 batter limit per inning.
4. It is encouraged you move kids around the field as long as they can safely play the position.
5. Games can be anything from coach pitch to kid pitch or a combination of both depending on ability of each team.
6. The league is designed to play one game a week and games are mostly on Friday and Sunday's around the in-house schedule.

Parents,

New - If your son is interested in trying out for the 12 yr old Newtown travel baseball team for 2015, here is the information you need.

- Indoor workouts will be every Thursday, 6pm – 8pm, Nation 9 sports academy - 115 Lower Morrisville Rd; Levittown, PA

- The indoor workouts will start Jan 22^nd. The plan is 6 workouts, but we may add on a 7^th or 8^th

-  Running the workouts will be Rick Lee (manager 12A travel - ), Kevin Hacker (coach 12A travel), and Victor Rizzo (manager 12B travel - )

- Please email the managers if you plan on attending the workouts so that they may prepare properly with the right number of tunnels, waiver forms, etc.

- Please plan on arriving at least 15 minutes early for the 1^st workout so that all paperwork can be completed. No athlete can participate until that is completed.  

- The cost for the workouts will be based on the # of attendees. You can plan on somewhere between $90-$120 for 6+ weeks)

-  We realize there are conflicts with other sports. Basketball, and any other sport that is a conflict is your priority. Please address any conflicts with the managers.

- Teams will be chosen towards the end of February.

- The 12A team will be competing in the DiamondNation/Flemington March Madness indoor tournament. This runs the entire month of March, weekends only.
