June 11, 2020 - COVID-19 update: As Connecticut enters Phase 2 of REOPEN CONNECTICUT, Glastonbury Hartwell Soccer Club outlines the measures set in place to promote safety of the players while on the field.
May 31, 2020 - On July 1, 2020, our Stack Sports platform will go offline. Hartwell is transitioning from Stack Sports to the Blue Sombrero league management platform. All families will receive an email to activate their new Blue Sombrero account within the next two weeks, but not all must activate their new account. For its ease of use, Hartwell will retain League Athletics for Recreation and some Travel functions.
April 5, 2020 - Hartwell partners with Challenger's virtual soccer season and training app, TopYa!
Hartwell is providing membership to this app to all Hartwell travel players as a way to stay connected to teammates and coaches while under quarantine. Players can complete skills pathways, earn points, and compete against teammates.
In head to head challenges, teammates challenge each other to complete special skills or moves. Other app users vote on who did the skill better to give a result to the challenge.
Tons of fun and even the potential to earn prizes!
March 30, 2020 - COVID-19 update:Due to concerns from the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Glastonbury Spring Warm-Up Tournament that was scheduled for April 24th through the 26th is CANCELED.
March 13, 2020 - COVID-19 update: Effective Friday, March 13th, all Glastonbury Hartwell Soccer Club events will be suspended through March 29th and will reassess our position at that point. Based on our affiliation with CJSA (Connecticut Junior Soccer Association), all games, practices, clinics, and tournaments that are sanctioned by CJSA will be suspended until April 15th.
January 2020 - Congratulations Dan Rooney for his induction into the CT Soccer Hall of Fame for the 2020 class. The Hartwell family is very proud of Dan and this well-deserved accomplishment.
Dan has been playing in adult leagues for 35 years after a short stint at CCSU. He has been a US Soccer and high school referee for about ten years, and President of the CT Adult US Soccer Association for about the same amount of time. Dan has been an active member of the Hartwell family for over 10 years... coaching both travel and rec soccer, including GK coaching.
Thank you Dan for your dedication to the sport and the youth of Glastonbury. Congratulations on the amazing honor of being inducted into the CT Soccer Hall of Fame!
