Lake Compounce Trip on Monday 7/25 - We will be meeting at the Glenbrooke parking lot at 9:30am.  Carpools will be organized and leave around 10:00.  The park opens at 11:00.  Return around 5:00pm.  Some carpools opt to stay longer.  Children under 13 need to have a designated adult chaperone.  The discounted entrance ticket price will be $23.00 (cash only).  Please be sure your child has spending money for food during the day in addition to the entrance ticket money.

This trip is open to all members and their guests and can sign up as late as Monday morning.  Most people coordinate rides ahead of time.  Everyone is to meet at the gate entrance between 10:45 and 11:00.  Coach Lynne and Beth will collect the ticket money from everyone at the point and purchase the discounted tickets.

Swim Lesson Registration - Closes Today at Noon.  For registrations after this date, please speak to the pool director.  If you have not already registered, there are still plenty of openings in all swim classes.  Follow this link to the registration page:

Lost Nintendo DS - A swimmer from South Windsor Swim Club lost their Blue Nintendo DS at the swim meet hosted by Glenbrooke on 7/6.  If anyone found the DS, please turn it into the guard office.  The South Windsor family has offered to pay a small reward to the finder.

Important Notes for Swim Team Parents

Swim Team Concession Fee - If you have not yet paid your concession fee ($10 per swimmer/$20 family maximum) - You can turn it in to any of the guard supervisors this week - Jessie, Corey or Laura or at the snack bar.
Championship Concession Donations - Each swim team family was assigned an item to donate for swim championship concessions, i.e. water, soda, chips, etc.  Please be sure to write your name on your donation and bring it to the club between Tuesday 7/26 and Friday 7/29.  Donations should be left in the swim team office or back storage room and labeled with your name.  If you were assigned fresh items such as donuts, bagels or fresh fruit, these should be brought to the club the morning of Championships.

If you volunteered to bring in an item that the club is borrowing for championships, please bring that in any time this week labeled with your name.

Championship Volunteers Needed - We are still looking for volunteers for championships this Saturday - We need  one or two people to announce the meet -  the National Anthem, Parade of the Swimmers, swim events and information that spectators and swimmers need to know.  Also concession helpers,  set up Friday night (1-2 hours) and breakdown Saturday afternoon (1-2 hours)  Please email Kristen or sign up on the lists posted on the Aquatics Board at the Club.
Swim Banquet - Our end of season banquet will be held on Sunday 7/31 starting at 4pm with awards followed by a barbecue (bring a side or dessert to share) and our annual synchro performance and torch parade.

Coaches Gifts - We are collecting money for coaches gifts at this time - we are asking for a donation of $20 per family - there is a tremendous amount of work put in by our swim coaches and we do want to show them how much they are appreciated.  You can give money to either Bridget Zorger or Kristen Sequeira.

If you have any questions regarding championships, please email Kristen at
