GHSC is requiring all Registrations to be paid in full at the time of registration. Unpaid registrations will be deleted. You will be responsible to re-register at a later time if registration is not paid at time of entry of registration. Glastonbury’s Hartwell Soccer Club is pleased to offer a Pre-K Soccer Program. All Glastonbury children ages 3,4 or 5 ONLY and currently not in Kindergarten will be eligible to participate. The preschool program offers players the opportunity to learn in a fun filled session of soccer. It is an excellent program to introduce your child to the wonderful sport. The program allows children to learn about soccer through fun and exciting instruction.
What: The program will focus on getting the children comfortable with the ball and fundamental concepts of soccer. The players will be exposed to basic soccer instruction and skill drills.
When: The program will be held one day a week.
Equipment: Each child will be given a t-shirt. Children must wear shin guards, cleats and bring a size 3 ball and water bottle to each session.
Cost: The cost for the spring season is $75.00. There is a multiple child discount for 3 or more players. Payment is required at registration. Unpaid registrations will be deleted. Volunteers: As with any youth sports program, GHSC needs volunteers to coach, coordinate and help with other activities to run the organization. Program Details for Grades K - 8:
Great Soccer Fun for Everyone! All Glastonbury children in Grade K-8 are welcome to play in our Recreation League. We offer a fun-filled season of intramural soccer. Team size and playing rules are tailored to the skill levels of each age group. Boys and girls play on separate teams. Each season finishes with a division-ending Jamboree.T-shirt uniforms are included in the registration cost.ALL Players shouldbringa soccer ball to each practice and games. Cleats are highly recommended.Shin guards are required at all ages.
PLAYER TIME COMMITMENT Teams practice one day per week for 1-1 1/2 hours and compete in one game per weekend, generally on Saturdays anywhere from 9 to 3. Practices should begin in late August when fields become available. Games are expected to begin in late August and the season is expected to end in late November.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT Glastonbury Hartwell Soccer REC program seasonal dues are $75. Payment is required at time of registration. Unpaid registrations will be deleted. The REC dues coverspecialized training for the coaches, updates totown fields and equipment used bythe REC teams and players. There is a multiple child discount for 3 or more players. A late fee of $20 will be applied to registrations received on or after February 25th.
Refunds are as follows: Requests for a refund MUST be sent to
. Requests received to this email before the late fee applies will be refunded in full. If the request is received after the late fee is in effect but before the first practice then a $20 fee applies. If the request is received after the first practice there is No Refund.
WHAT TO EXPECT Recreational Teams will be created in the month of April. Notification to players will occur in mid April. You will receive an email indicating what team your child has been assigned to. Please make sure your email is accurate when registering a player. Coaches will contact players either by phone or email after the initial email has been sent out.
WE NEED COACHES…. If you are willing to coach please answer the question on your record. We will contact you. We are a 100% volunteer organization. If you can volunteer some time we will help get you trained. Soccer knowledge is not required. Coaches will be required to go to a coaches training meeting before the season begins.
