Glastonbury Lacrosse Club

The Rising Star program will emphasize safety, fun, and learning the skills and game of lacrosse.  Teams will practice and play games one to two times per week and anticipate one practice during the week and one on the weekend.  We will use a 6 versus 6 player format with smaller lacrosse goals, but no goalies. Scrimmages are across the field sideways and we require 3 consecutive pass attempts before shooting.  No checking is allowed.  The girls will use a modified lacrosse ball (i.e., softer).  We will have “intra-squad” games as well as anticipate playing games against similar “rising stars” teams from other towns.  Season begins in early April and concludes in early June. (Kindegartners will require a parent to be present and volunteer to coach).
