West Cobb Girls Softball offers both Spring and Fall recreational softball programs for youth girls in the northwest Atlanta Georgia metro counties of Cobb, Paulding and Cherokee.
The West Cobb Girls Softball Community Service Program offers girls an opportunity to volunteer their time to assist the younger players. Participants will be assisting our coaches in conveying the principles of Sportsmanship, Teamwork, and the Skills of Softball while providing an enjoyable learning experience. For the most part, out volunteers are assigned to teams in our Sugar & Spice (4-6 yr), Senior Sugar & Spice (6 yr), or 8U age groups.
Participation in our program will allow volunteers to earn community service hours as required by many high schools as a prerequisite for college application.
An applicant must meet the following criteria:
Must have participated as a player at WCGS within the last 2 years
Must be able to participate in at least 75% of all team practices and games
Be a freshman or later in high school
Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
