Players in DRSA participate in the JPS (Just Play Sports) League. This is a Jefferson County Conference League. Teams from Green Mountain, Arvada West, Chatfield, Columbine, Conifer, D'Evelyn, Evergreen, Lakewood, Mullen, Pomona, Ralston Valley, Standley Lake, and Wheatridge, all participate within this league. Practices should begin the week of November 7, 2022 (8th Grade Feeder Teams could begin practicing at an earlier date - TBD). Practices will be held at locations within the Dakota Ridge community. Games should begin sometime the week after Thanksgiving 2022. The season will conclude with the End of Season Tournament that usually takes place the last couple of weeks of February (2023) (usually top 8 teams in each division).
DRSA teams (Grades 5-7) also have the option of registering and playing in the Gold Crown League, IN ADDITION TO, playing within the regular JPS league. This will be a team decision, and the registration and payment for this extra league will be done through the Gold Crown website by the team coach and it's players. Gold Crown has set their Winter League fee at $220 per player. Their season will begin on December 10, 2022 and conclude March 12, 2023. Gold Crown will open Individual Registration on October 1, 2022 and Team Registration on September 1, 2022. DRSA will not be providing a separate registration for those teams choosing also play in the Gold Crown League.
8th Grade Feeder Team is a Set Program set forth by Dakota Ridge Sports Association and the 8th Grade Feeder Team Coordinator/Director with input from the DRHS Basketball program and its coaches.
