Role Call: The following members were present:

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm.
LLL Members’ concerns: Steve Achber met with the Board in reference to the Achber Family Trust and had other suggestions. Travis Haynes met with the Board in reference to the Instructional Division.
Secretary’s Report: Ron O’Connor, Jr. presented Minutes from December 14, 2009 and the minutes were approved by the Board. Ron will post minutes to website on January 12, 2010.
Treasurer’s Report: Not in attendance
President’s Report and Old Business: President Mary Nyhan reported on the following items;
A) Memory Wall: Mary Nyhan updated the Board on Bill Tuttle’s health. Julie Westcott presented a two-sided wood sample to the Board that her husband, Tim Westcott. The Board voted on a tongue-and-groove design for the Memory Wall.
B) Baseball/Softball Clinics: Lora Friend reported about 20 Softball players showed up for the clinic. Bill Salta reported that about 18 Baseball players showed up for 1st Clinic and about 12 players showed up for the second clinic.
C) Belmont Player: Mary Nyhan gave an update of the Belmont Player requesting to play in the Laconia Little League.
D) Scoreboard Thank Yous: John Silva stated he had sent 5 Thank You notes to businesses that assisted with the new Colby Field Scoreboard.
E) Equipment: Jeff Stone reported that the list is all set for Piche’s. Baseball requested 3 dozen Incrediballs and Softball requested 2 dozen yellow Incrediballs.
F) Constitution Updating: Mary Nyhan reminded the Board that the Laconia Little League Constitution Update meeting would be at 4:00pm on Sunday January 17, 2010 at the Irwin Zone.
G) Parade: Bill Salta reported that he paid the $10.00 Parade Fee to Laconia. Mike Moyer or a representative from the Laconia Police Department will be at the Opening Ceremony. Bill also confirmed that the Belknap County Sheriff signed off on the Courthouse Parking Lot as a place to start and stage our Parade.
H) Registration: Registration dates, advertising, materials needed and Board Member sign-ups were discussed. Dates are Tuesday 2/9/2010 from 6pm to 8pm, Thursday 2/11/2010 from 6pm to 8pm, Saturday 2/13/2010 from 8am to Noon, Thursday 2/18/2010 from 6pm to 8pm and Saturday 2/20/2010 from 8am to Noon all at the Laconia Community Center. We will continue to advertise on-line registration prior to coming to a Registration Night. Late fee of $50 per child after 2/20/2010.
A) Donations for Opening Day: Donations for Opening Day were discussed. Several local businesses were mentioned as a place to seek these donations.
B) ASAP: Jeff McGarry is working on a 20% discount for the 2010 ASAP Program.
C) Umpires: Jack Batchelder is looking for Baseball and Softball Umpires.
D) Sponsorship: Prices for 2010 set at $250 for all Teams except Majors, which are $375. Extra Web Banner ads and Side Rotating logos available to team sponsors for $50 each. These Web Banner and Side Rotating logo ads can be purchased with no team sponsor for $100 each or both for $150.
E) Softball Scoreboard: The Softball Scoreboard is inoperative and Dave Plourde and Lora Friend will check into it.
F) Tee Ball & Instructional: Bill Salta and others suggested a Handbook on Coaching Techniques for Tee-Ball and Instructional Coaches to assist in getting the younger players the age-appropriate skills.
G) RVYSEF: Jack Batchelder spoke about the Rich Velasquez Youth Sports Equipment Foundation and the desire to start a website. Ron O’Connor, Jr. stated he would work on a site through the www.laconiall.org site and the address would be http://rvysef.laconiall.org . This Foundation would be dedicated to all sports for kids, not just baseball. Jack will make flyers and distribute to the unemployment office, Boys and Girls Clubs and the local schools.
H) Redistricting: Mary Nyhan spoke about the redistricting of the New Hampshire Little League Teams. Nothing is final yet.
I) Sponsors: Suggestions were made for sponsorship businesses.
J) Softball Concerns: Discussion about 3-inning games not being completed and it was decided that a 3-inning game must be completed on a Saturday before the scheduled Saturday game can start or the 3-inning game must be completed on a Friday night. Major Softball will play games on Monday, Wednesday, some Fridays and Saturdays (practice will be up to each team). Minor Softball will play games on Tuesday, have practice on Thursday and play games on Saturdays.
For next meeting: No February 2010 Meeting. Just Registration Nights and Days.
