Redding T-Ball Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register my child for T-Ball?
Our online registration process is relatively simple and should not take you more than 5 minutes. Simply click the "Register Online" tab in the column on your left, then find the  "T-Ball Registration” banner and click "Begin Registration."

The process is self-explanatory from there, but if you have any questions as you go through the process, please call us at 203-938-3166.

What is the fee structure for T-Ball?
The standard registration fee is $95. The deadline for standard registration is in late February.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit cards within our online registration feature, or you can mail a check made out to Redding Baseball/BGCRE. P.O. Box 333, Redding Ridge, CT 06876.

Is Redding T-Ball for both boys and girls? What ages?
Our T-Ball Program is open to both boys and girls in pre-school and kindergarten, ages 5 and up.

What kind of equipment does my child need for T-Ball?
The only essential piece of equipment your child needs for T-Ball is a glove for fielding. A good glove will be 9 to 10 inches (the size will be stamped on the glove) with a deep pocket area, where your child will catch the ball. You can find gloves by reputable manufacturers like Wilson, Rawlings, Mizuno, etc., at many local sporting goods stores for about $25. Cleats are recommended, but not required. Your child’s coach will be supplied with at least one bat, a dozen soft baseballs, helmets, etc.

Will my child be receiving a uniform?
Yes. Redding T-Ball provides every player with a jersey (including team name/sponsor and number), along with a cap.

Can I request that my child be placed on a team with his/her friends?
Yes. You may put in a request to us through the registration process or via email, and we will do our best to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee a particular placement.

When and where are games and practices held?
All games and practice times will be determined closer to the season.  Games are usually held Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.  There is no practice time during the week. Games are held at our local fields in Redding (BGCRE and RCC) and Easton (ECC for softball).

How do I sign-up to become a coach, assistant coach or team parent?
As you register your child, you will see an option to volunteer as a head coach, assistant coach or team parent manager. Once we receive your request, we will contact you regarding our various coaching clinics and other resources to prepare you for the season.

How do I become a T-Ball Sponsor?
If you are interested in becoming a T-Ball Sponsor, we thank you very much for your support!  We offer four sponsorship opportunities: Team Sponsorships, Web Site Sponsorships, Fence Banners and Special Events. These options are outlined in the online registration form you will use as you sign up your child for the upcoming season.
