Are you interested in helping out at practice? Interested in coaching?

LHYL is looking for coaches and assistants who want to volunteer to help the youth of our program have fun and learn the game of lacrosse and set the right examples on the field.  Head coaches need help at practices running drills and keeping the kids focused.  At games, assistants are an invaluable help on the sidelines.

Do you want to help out but are concerned you don’t know “enough” about the game of lacrosse?

LHYL welcomes volunteers who are willing to help, regardless of lacrosse experience, and support the LHYL philosophy:

“Our mission is to provide opportunities to all area children who may be interested in participating in a fast-paced, team-oriented sport where they can develop lacrosse skills in a safe and fun environment which promotes the game in a positive, sportsmanlike manner.”

We’ll get you up to speed with the rules of the game quickly.

Do you want to help out in other ways besides coaching?

LHYL also needs Team Managers, horn/clock operators at home games, and help with field maintenance (line painting, net stringing, etc.).

What are the coaching requirements?

Per CONNY regulations, all Girls and Boys coaches who are on the field with the kids must complete coaches training.  In addition, there are a few LHYL requirements to complete, including a background check.  All requirements are in place for the safety and well being of the kids on the field.
