John McLean » Lead Director
Not many people in hockey can speak of a career similar to John McLean. After a successful college career at Boston College where he became a captain for the Eagles, John's career was cut short because of injury. After his playing career, John became one of the top instructors in the world within skating and skills and also coached at the D1 college level for BC and Merrimack College.
John has served NHL teams in various roles, Tampa Bay Lightning and the Boston Bruins have both employed John.
He currently is the head coach for Malden Catholic School, where he has had more success than any coach in the state over the last 7 years, highlighted by 5 Super 8 titles.
John and his wife Cynthia live in North Andover MA with their son John.
Tom Ford » Director
Tom is known throughout the country as one of the most dedicated and knowledgable instructors in Hockey. Through great passion and focus Tom has worked with many of the top players in the area and helped their success, reaching NHL, AHL, D1 and other levels of hockey. As an assistant coach at Central Catholic High School Tom has helped form one of the top programs in Massachusetts. Tom resides in North Reading, MA with his wife and their 4 children.
Kim Brandvold » Director
Kim was born and raised playing hockey in Oslo, Norway. He played for U16, U18 and U20 Junior National teams in Norway, followed by playing at Umass Lowell. After graduating from Umass Lowell in 2006, Kim played professionally for a year in the minors.
After retiring from playing hockey, Kim began working with Micro Ice Training Center in North Andover, MA as its first General Manager. During his time at Micro Ice, Kim began to work with Dynamic Skating's longtime hockey professionals John McLean and Tom Ford, and later joined the staff as a full time director for the company. At Dynamic Skating, Kim works with players of all ages and abilities and is very passionate about teaching the game to all of the skaters he encounters.
Kim currently serves as the Skating and Skills coach for the Boston Bruins, where he works with both prospects in Providence and full time players in Boston.
