 East Coast Wizards Boys Hockey Program

The East Coast Wizards hockey program (www.eastcoastwizards.com) was established in the 2005 – 2006 season as a girls select program with an initial slate of 8 teams. Since that time, under the direction of Paul Kennedy and Scott Fusco, the program has grown to 38 teams for boys and girls ranging in age from Development Team (2015-2016 birth years) through high school.   The focus of the program is to provide a competitive AAA level schedule and fun and challenging environment for players and teams to develop their skills and reach their potential as players.
 

Our boys team play a very competitvie league, tournament, and independent schedule. Schedules and results for for each level for this season and prior years can be found on the individual team pages. Team pages can be found by following the link at the top of the home page.

                         

All East Coast Wizards teams will have all practices, skill sessions, and home games at The Edge Sports Center in Bedford, MA.  This is a , state of the art facility housing a hockey rink, two indoor turf fields and off-ice training center run by Dragon Conditioning. The program consists of the following.
 

  • Two team practices per week 
  • One skill session every week – Run by Kory Falite, Scott Fusco, Bobby Jay and other Wizard coaches
  • League games in the Elite 9 and Boston Hockey Leagues plus playoffs
  • Two tournaments – more available at additional cost
  • Off-ice training sessions with ECW Conditioning available for all age levels
  • Weekly goalie training
  • Summer Team Training Camps

East Coast Wizards Full Season Boys Teams 2021-22

The East Coast Wizards will have full season teams at the following levels for the 2021 - 2022 season.

The East Coast Wizards Half Season Teams 2021-2022

 
The East Coast Wizards will field five half season boys’ teams for the 2021-22 season. These teams will be highly competitive teams playing in elite level tournaments and independent games. We will have teams at the U15, U16, and U18 levels.
 
U14 Team
The concept of the East Coast Wizard U14 team is to provide a competitive practice and game environment that focuses on player development and is compatible with school hockey and academic schedules.  The team will practice twice per week and play an Elite level tournament and league schedule starting in mid-August and running through Thanksgiving. There will also be practices, games or tournaments during the Christmas break and in early March.

  • Season: Mid-August through Thanksgiving
  • Coach: Garry McAvoy played at Acton- Boxborough and the USMA at West Point. He is a Level 5 USA Hockey coach that has coached at all levels. Garry is currently the assistant coach at The Middlesex School in Concord, MA
  • Game Schedule: 3 tournaments, independent game schedule for a total of 25 + games
  • Practice Schedule: Two week night practices/week plus off ice conditioning

 
U16 Team
The East Coast Wizard U16 Team will be coached by Sean Gorman and will provide a competitive practice and game environment that focuses on player development and is compatible with school hockey and academic schedules. The team will practice twice per week and play an Elite level tournament and league schedule starting in mid-August and running through mid-November. We will compete in the following three tournaments. Players are allowed to play in other tournaments for different teams.

 

     Coach Sean Gorman- Princeton University 4 year starter and Boston Bruins draft pick.          
 

  • Game Schedule: 3 tournaments, independent game schedule for a total of 25+ games
  • Practice Schedule: two practices/week

 
U18 Team
The East Coast Wizard U18 Team will be coached by Kory Falite. Kory played at UMass- Lowell as well as a 4-year professional career. Kory will provide a competitive practice and game environment that focuses on player development and is compatible with school hockey and academic schedules. The team will practice twice per week and play an Elite level tournaments and independent schedule starting in mid-August and running through mid-November. We will compete in the following three tournaments.
