Spartan Youth Club - Youth Come First!

1st - 8th Grade Coed Volleyball:

Our Coed Volleyball developmental division is open to any youth player grades 1st to 8th. We have multiple teams within each grade. We offer teams to fit your players experience and skill level. Our developmental division is focused on teaching the fundamentals of volleyball, while having fun. Our volleyball teams will compete in the Arapahoe Youth League (AYL), against other developmental teams.  We guarantee each player minimum plays per game.  Most children will play more than this, this is just the minimum plays required.

Practice Schedule:

Practices for the 2023 season will begin in mid-February, depending on gym availability and end early May. Teams are generally able to practice one to two times per week.  The exact time and location of these practices are dependent on gym availability per approved permits by the CCSD and will be scheduled with the coaches as quickly as possible.  However, practice days and times are typically Monday-Thursday between 6:30-8:30.

Game Schedule:

Regular season games are typically played on Saturday, with a possibility of Sunday or a double header, depending on the total number of teams throughout the league.  Playoff games will be played on Saturday over the course of one or two weekends.  The CHAMPIONSHIP weekend will be a full day of games played on Saturday. All games will be scheduled at the new South Suburban Sports Complex: 4810 E County Line Road, Highlands Ranch CO 80126 (NOTE: ALL game and times are subject to gym availability and could be played at alternate locations and/or dates and times, including Sundays).

Equipment:

Our volleyball teams wear our game jersey ($40.00 included in the registration fee for the 2023 season), along with black shorts and black knee pads. All teams/players must have our official game jersey, there will be no custom jerseys. Equipment needed, black game shorts, black knee pads, sneakers, and volleyball(optional) all equipment can be purchased at any sporting goods store. Additional uniform attire and equipment will be at the discretion of each coach.  We recommend you not purchase any gear, until your child has been placed on a team and you have been contacted by your coach.  The Spartans will not be responsible for the reimbursement of any costs associated with the purchase of any equipment in the event your child cannot be placed on a team.
