Snack Shacks at Deborah Sampson and Ames Fields
The Snack Shack at Deborah Sampson Park has everything for the hungry ball player and parent. Hot food including hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers and french fries are available on a limited basis. Slushies, candy, cookies, chips and drinks are always available from the volunteer parents who work the Shack on game days. Treats for softball and t-ball players and their parents is also available at the Ames Street Fields. All proceeds from the sale of these items goes toward supporting various SYBSA programs, including equipment purchases and the maintenance of the ball fields. Please stop by for refreshments and show your support for our Sharon kids.
The Snack Shack runs on the efforts of parent volunteers. SYBSA board members are responsible for opening, setting up and closing the shack at Deb Sampson. Parents of players of Field B are assigned days to work the shack, usually only once or twice a season. Please click on a link below for instructions and shack schedule (PDF format):

Be good to the fields!
Thanks to Mike Polimer the fields at Deborah Sampson Park are in great shape. Because of all the snow and rain over the winter and spring, the fields are very fragile, especially the infield grass. A few tips to keep them nice and playable all season long:
• Stay away from the "lips" where the grass meets the dirt in the infield.
• Pitch from the rubber, not behind or in front of it. The mounds have all been rebuilt into perfect circles, so let's keep them that way.
• Don't dig at the outfield grass with your cleats (or pull out the grass with your hands)
• Remove water bottles and other trash or throw them away
Mike volunteers his time and energy to make Deborah Sampson fields the most beautiful and professionally-tailored athletic facility in the region. Please help SYBSA maintain them throughout the baseball season.
