Fargo native Dave Thune is the founder and director of the Fargo Hockey Academy. Dave has over four decades of hockey experience as both a player and a coach. Dave currently still holds many of the the North Dakota High-School State and all of the Fargo South High Scoring Records. From 1973-1977 he tallied 94 goals and 118 assists for an astonishing 232 total points during his 4 year career at Fargo South High School. Dave also holds the 25 game North Dakota single season scoring record with 51 goals and 61assists for 112 points, breaking his junior year record of 89 points.(Previous Record was 65 Points held by Dave Peterson, Fargo South High 1972). He also still holds the North Dakota records for: single season goals(51), and single season assists(61), most career goals(94) and most career assists(118).
Dave holds his United States Hockey Association Level 4 credentials and has coached youth hockey for the last 30 years. He has a passion for the game of hockey and enjoys doing whatever he can to instill the love of the game in his young players.
