Glazed Nuts
Makes 1/3 cup
  • extra virgin olive oil or butter
  • 1/3 cup pecans or walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • pinch of sea salt
  • one grind of black pepper
  • tiny pinch of cayenne (optional)
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
  2. Lightly coat baking pan with olive oil or butter.
  3. Combine pecans or walnuts, maple syrup, sea salt, pepper, and cayenne if using in a small bowl and toss to coat.
  4. Spread nut mixture into baking sheet.
  5. Bake until nuts are golden and glazed, but not wet; about 15 minutes.
  6. Stir occasionally to break up clumps.
  7. Cool completely on baking sheet.
