Tee Ball

Tee Ball is for boys and girls, Grades Preschool/Pre-K or league age 4 to 5 years old. 

(* league 5yr old’s that have played a season of Tee Ball can pick the Farm level.) Little League Age Chart They will meet every Saturday morning at 9am for an hour starting 4/29/23 for 8 weeks. The players will be following a great program that builds a foundation for basic skills, sportsmanship, and an appreciation for the game through various drills, games, and activities.

 Farm Level

FARM Level (Coach pitch) is for boys and girls* Grades Pre-K/K or league age 5 to 6 years old,Little League Age Chart  . Any league age 5 yr olds that have not played a season of Tee Ball before this spring should play one season in the Tee Ball level. The Farm level will meet twice per week. The first meeting of the week will be on Wednesdays at 5:30 for skills/practice, and the second meeting will be on a Sunday at 4pm for a game. The season will start the week of 4/24/23 and run for 8 weeks. The program for the Farm Level focuses on the fundamentals of baseball and is designed to build a solid foundation for becoming a successful baseball player.

Rookie Level

Rookies (Coach/Modify Kid pitch) is for boys and girls* 1st Grade and 2nd Grade or league age 7 to 8*** years old Little League Age Chart . They will meet twice per week Monday through Friday with a start time at 5:30. The first meeting of the week will be skills/practice either on Monday or Tuesday, and the second meeting will be a game either on a Thursday or Friday. The season will run for 8 weeks starting the week of 4/24/23 The program for the Rookie Level focuses on the fundamentals of baseball and is designed to build a solid foundation for becoming a successful baseball player.

* Girls are welcome to play in the Rookies league, but most opt to play coach-pitch softball.

***   League age 8-year old’s are also eligible for the Minors level, but MUST attend a mandatory tryout. If they are not selected to play in Minors they will be placed on a Rookies team.

Baseball Minors

The Minors Level is meant for boys and girls league ages 8* thru 10 Little League Age Chart . This level is a competitive level with focus still on developing the players baseball skills. This level will have competitively scheduled games with a playoff for a champion at the end of the season. Practices will be scheduled by the Manager of the team if/when time and space will allow. This is an all-kid pitch level.

*- All league age 8-year old’s that wish to play in the Minors level will need to take part in a tryout/evaluation to determine if their baseball skill level is strong enough to play in the minors. If it's determined that their baseball skill level is not strong enough, they will be placed on a Rookie level team.

All league age 9-10 year-old players will need to take part in an evaluation as all players at this level will be drafted by the managers of the teams.

Baseball Intermediate 50/70

The 50/70 Level is meant for boys and girls League ages 11 thru 13 League Age Chart  This is a competitive level with scheduled competitive games and a playoff at the end of the season to determine a champion. Practices will be scheduled by the managers of the team if/when space and time will allow.

Registration cost for Intermediate 50/70 will be $150

Any players that played in the Majors level last Spring will be drafted onto a 50/70 team. 

Any league age 11yr olds that were not on a  2022 Spring Majors roster, will need to take part in a tryout/evaluation to determine if their baseball skill level is strong enough to play in the 50/70 level. If it's determined that their baseball skill level is not strong enough, they will be placed in the minors draft..

All players wanting to play in the 50/70 level will need to take part in the Tryout/evaluations.

Babe Ruth

Watertown Babe Ruth is dedicated to the youth of Watertown to provide a great place to play baseball at a competitive level while developing your skills. We pride ourselves on the ability to cater to both the casual and advanced player by providing a structured, competitive environment where all can grow as players. Babe Ruth league ages 13-15 as of May 1, 2023 Home fields- Victory Field away fields- depend on other towns in this travel league.The Watertown Babe Ruth Baseball League provides a competitive and fun baseball experience for players of any ability league ages 13-15, offering a Spring Baseball season. Players of all abilities can play. The Spring Season will run from about early April to mid-June including playoffs. Teams will play approximately 12-15 games plus playoff games. The teams will play against teams from Belmont, Medford, Bedford, Lexington, Winchester, Somerville and Arlington. Plus, other towns.
