Welcome to the 2021 Summer Basketball Season! We are very excited to offer a full season this year. With the start of the season quickly approaching, it is important to review the league’s COVID guidelines reflective of CDC and state guidance. While actively playing on outdoor courts, players may wear a mask, but masking is NOT required. If games are played indoors due to inclement weather, the masking protocol will reflect current school policy.
While playing on outdoor courts, players on the bench must maintain 6 ft of social distance between their teammates. Masking is recommended if they are unable to observe 6 ft of social distance.
While playing on outdoor courts, masking is recommended for unvaccinated coaches and referees. If games are played indoors due to inclement weather, the masking protocol will reflect current school policy.
Hand sanitizer will be available at the courts and players are encouraged to use sanitizer before leaving the court at the end of their game.
Parents will be responsible for taking their players’ temperature prior to each game. If they register a temperature 100.4 or higher, the player must stay home. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Coaches, referees, table personnel and players over the age of 18 are required to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and must stay home if such symptoms are present.
If a player, coach, referee or table personnel is exposed to COVID, or tests positive for COVID, their parents of the individual must notify the BBL immediately. In the event of a positive case, the BBL will make all necessary notifications.
