Those trying out are expected to arrive at least a half hour before the start of your session and ready to play. Please check in with an official at a table near the concession stand when you arrive for further details and direction.

PLEASE BE CLEAR THAT ATTENDING THE TRYOUTS in June is not an automatic selection for the team you want to join. Unfortunately, the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) sets a limit on the number of players that can attend games for Competitive teams. However, Recreational teams offer all players the opportunity to enjoy the game and developing players to be more engaged, WITHOUT any tryout requirements. Registration is currently open.

Important Items to Note

  1. If you have already attended the June tryouts, you are not required to attend the supplemental tryout. However, the more opportunities you provide evaluators and coaches to observe your abilities, the more information can be collected for selection.

  2. If you haven’t registered yet, you must register for an appropriately-aged team.  For example, the U9 team will allow those who are born in 2013 and 2014. Similarly, U15 is set up for those born in 2007 and 2008.

  3. Final selections for all teams will be released very shortly after the supplemental tryouts.

  4. If you are unable to attend any of the tryout dates, you will need to contact the team’s coach for an alternative evaluation.

Gear to Bring/Wear

At the tryout session, each player should have with them:

1. An appropriately-sized ball

2. Soccer cleats

3. Shin pads

4. Water bottle (no sharing)

5. Wear any shirt BUT do NOT wear a WAM team jersey

6. We observe Covid protocols. If Connecticut recommendations remain unchanged, face masks will be optional for players and players only.
