You have to sign up with USA hockey first, that fee will be reimbursed by us during the season because it is their first year. (through sponsors).
Then you will be given a code when USA hockey registration is complete and you will sign up on our website, and enter that code in when prompted. The HCHA web site should not charge you a fee at all because it is her first year, it is usually removed at the end when you are all finished signing up. Make sure to check the first-year player check-box when registering.
First-year players must submit a birth certificate to be able to play. You can attach this to your registration or email to email@example.com
We are beginning a new program for first-year players to rent gear for the season for free (while supplies last). It will only be a 25$ deposit, that will be returned to you at the end of the season when we get it all back. We are working on building up our rental stock for the older kids so not sure what we will have for the following years, but you can also find good deals on used stuff once you know what you need. The contact for that is Bryan Barwig 989-550-5152 and he will get you set up with the gear.
Interested in becoming a locker room monitor or team manager?
Register yourself (not your player you both must have numbers) at USA hockey and HCHA as a volunteer. You must also complete background check and safe sport training. Links for these can be found on the main page of the website.
If you have a 6U (mini-mites) or 8U (mites) player that you want to help them get dressed in the locker room you must complete this.
If you have 6U (mini-mites) or 8U (mites) players and don't wish to complete this process simply bring your child dressed to play when arriving at the arena (make sure they wear skate guards).
6U and 8U timeslots
For 6U players practices should be Friday from 430-530 and Saturday 2-3 *Subject to change
For 8U players practices should be Friday from 530-630 and Saturday Games 1-2 *Subject to change
These are always at the Huron County Ice Arena
Will we travel?
For 6U-8U House hockey there shouldn't be any travel.
For 10U-18U some travel scrimmages may be scheduled. House games will be at HCHA, but some scrimmages may be out of town. Approximately 75% Home 25% Away. Just an estimate.
If you are interested we do have 8U-18U Tournament Travel teams (watch for the tryout dates)
