ALL players registered for a Fall Ball intra-town division will be assigned to a team based on spring divsion assignment as well as feedback from spring and summer coaches. Age is determined by Little League Calendar, which is available below.

Each season, SYBSA requires many additional hands to ensure a safe program players, families, and the larger community. Please consider volunteering when registering your child. Lack of committed volunteers may force our all-volunteer organization to limit our programming. All volunteers must officially register to allow for safety checks to be completed.
We are excited to announce that SYBSA will be sponsoring a Scholarship award for baseball and softball alumni, for students who have attended a local high school and are planning to continue their education at a vocational school or college, two-year college, four-year college, or university, or have enlisted in a branch of the US Armed Forces.

Fall Tee Ball is a continuation of our spring curriculum. Players will participate in fun active drills that will prepare them to either join our Single A Division or walk confidentently into Tee Ball next spring.

Single A Fall Ball consists of 90 minute sessions focused on skills improvement. Players will work to strengthen their ability to throw and catch with peers, while cotinuing to learn how to hit a pitched ball. The program's intent is to be a review for our coach pitch players from spring and an introduction to baseball for our graduating Tee Ball players. Spring Single A six-year-old players should feel extremely comfortable in this group.

Double A balances drill sessions, skill competitions, and gamelike scrimmages to increase players' baseball IQ and physical skills. The division's objective is to introduce healthy competition and best prepare players for their upcoming spring evaluations.

Division is focused on providing our rising 9 YOs an opportunity to gain more game reps as they prepare to be evaluated for our 2024 spring season. Players will participate in one Saturday morning game as well as one weekly practice. Players who have played in either our spring or summer AAA divisions will feel comfortably challenged as they face area towns in this player pitch game format.

Teams will face local area towns in games hosted by Sharon at Deb Sampson. Times will vary, but typical the older age teams play later than younger players. Game play and rules will relate similiarly to corresponding Spring division level. There will be one weekday practice as well.
Please note that SYBSA has instituted a waitlist to insure that teams do not grow to a size that hampers player enjoyment. SYBSA also reserves the right to adjust player divisional assignments to insure that SYBSA can accommodate as many players total as possible. Intermediate Division is a tranisition opportunity for our graduating 12 YO (i.e. Rising 13 YOs) players. Players will be introduced to the next level of baseball Rules (leading, pickoffs, etc.) on an Intermediate-sized diamond, with 50' pitching and 70' basepaths. The program is a travel program as we face nearby towns in primarily weekend games. (Occasional exceptions have been made to allow less experienced 14 year olds play on the intermediate diamond in this league.) The team will practice once a week as well.

Junior Division will play in the Norwood Diamond Club league, on full-sized diamonds. Traditionally, all games are Friday night, Saturday and/or Sunday, in Norwood, Mass on some of the finest diamonds in the area. Typically, each team plays two games per weekend for a total of 12 games. The games are developmental and designed to familiarize players with leading, stealing, balks and other facets of Junior League and High School baseball. Participating towns have included Norwood, Stoughton, Canton, Needham, Dedham, Walpole, Newton and other surrounding towns.
