Virginia Guidelines as of Summer 2021
All restrictions are lifted as of summer 2021. Full details are available online.
Note the guidance below will likely change as the Fall 2021 season approaches assuming there are no more restrictions in place.
Coaches, runners, and parents must conduct a daily screening for COVID-19 symptoms prior to coming to a DYS Track and Field event. Anyone exhibiting and/or experiencing the following symptoms of possible exposure to COVID-19 listed below will not be allowed to participate at practices or meets and will be asked to stay away from practices or meets for 10 days if they have a fever.
• Fever (Temp of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher)
- Parents are expected to check prior to practice and stay home if their child has a fever.
- Coaches at practices will use a contactless thermometer to check all runners prior to practice.
A new cough that cannot be attributed to another health condition.
Chills, sore throat or muscle aches that cannot be attributed to another health condition.
