I was born and raised on my family’s farm in Chaumont, NY.  I began playing ice hockey when I was 7 years old.  I played with the boys’ team until I was 14, at which time I switched to a 19U girls’ team in Clayton, NY.  I also played for my neighboring high school’s Girls’ Varsity Ice Hockey team from 2008-2013. Since competitive girl’s ice hockey was scare where I grew up, I started playing in Canada on AA teams from 2008-2013 as well.  By this point, my last two years of high school were spent playing on three different travel ice hockey teams, all in different leagues, I was on the ice 6-7 days a week and I loved every minute of it.

I committed to play college hockey at Elmira College my senior year of high school.  I had some of the best memories there along with the best friendships, I still have to this day.  My college career was from 2013-2017.  Our team attended the NCAA Frozen Four Championship during our 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 season.  During our 2014-2015 season we also placed second in the NCAA Championship game against Plattsburgh State.  My senior year I was voted Assistant Captain and finished out my final season (2016–2017) of my hockey career.

Once I graduated in 2017, I moved to Rochester, NY to start my finance career.  I began working with Goodbody & Associates, Private Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch in September 2017.  I am an Investment Analyst and I hold the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, as well as the Certified Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) professional designation.  I am also currently studying for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) professional designation.

Apart from work, I began volunteering with the Rochester Edge Girl’s Ice Hockey organization in 2018.  For the 2018-2019 season I was the Assistant Coach for the 12U Tier 1 team where we won the State Championship held in Buffalo, NY!  That was my first time winning a Championship title and it was memorable! I continued my volunteer work into the 2019-2020 season as Assistant in Player Development, however, with COVID-19 impacting day-to-day life I had to take a hiatus.

When approached with the 14U Tier 1 Head Coach position for the 2021-2022 season, I was beyond ecstatic!  My ultimate goal is to guide the girls through a memorable season with a focus on hockey intelligence and skill development.  I want to create a competitive team environment while embracing each player’s potential for improvement.  I’ve had many coaches over the course of my hockey career and there were few that left a positive impact, I want to be one of those few.  I want the girls to remember why they began playing hockey in the first place and to never lose sight of that.  I will be there to encourage them, support them, and guide them as they continue forward in their hockey careers.
