The Rochester Edge has a long and proud tradition of providing young female athletes a home to play the amazing game of ice hockey. For over 20 years, The Edge is proud to have been involved in the development of young women and we will continue to strive to empower girls to the best of our ability.
Moving forward as an organization it is also important to continue to improve on our best practices to educate and shape parents and players. We want to be the best we can be as well.
The Edge coaching program will include former elite female college hockey players who will act as mentors for parents and players, and we are also happy to announce the we will be working alongside with Kelly Katorji from RUSH Hockey to help guide us on future opportunities and to enhance competition. Kelly has a long and successful history with helping youth hockey organizations in all facets of the game including coach mentorship, tournament operation and educating parents on the environment surrounding youth hockey. RUSH Hockey is considered a pioneer in many ways and has been around for 30 years on both the boys and girls side of youth hockey. RUSH Hockey has grown to host North America’s premier women’s hockey showcases and we as an organization look forward to entering top end tournaments at all levels.
We want to develop talent, develop coaches, educate parents, and be the best we can be. Whether it is a path to college, a place to embrace your competitive spirt, or simply just a chance to improve fitness, the Rochester Edge are committed to reaching new heights.
We look forward to working with top elite female coaches and youth hockey authorities such as Kelly to make this happen.
