Welcome!
Here at the Home of the SW Panthers, we take coaching seriously. Each coach, football or cheerleading, brings very special qualities to the table. It is the Panthers intentions to ensure your children recieve and leave with the best possible experience. We are very fortunate to have the coaches we do and we would like to share a little bit about each of them.
Cheerleading 2022 Season
Head Coaches
Coach Erica

My name is Erica Rankin and I am the Directing head coach overseeing the Cheer Program's coaches. I am also the head coach of C team as well as the Panther’s league representative. I have been with the program since 2018. I grew up as a competitive gymnast and began cheer in high school. I began all star cheer my senior year with East Celebrity Elite. Over the course of 10 years, I competed on levels 2-6, winning several national titles. I recently retired after our performance at the 2021 World Championships. I have coached with ECE for over 8 years. On top of coaching I am a full time nanny and small business owner. Cheerleading is my true passion. I love helping these athletes grow not only as cheerleaders but as people. I am proud of the legacy we are building. The Panthers program is a family, and I am blessed to be a part of it!
Coach Jackie

My name is Jackie and I am the head coach for A and B Combined Team. While this is my first year with the Panthers, this is my 10th year coaching cheerleading. I have coached the Timothy Edwards Middle School cheerleading program for 10 years. In addition to my time with TEMS, I have three years of all-star coaching experience. Not only do I coach cheerleading, but I have coached the TEMS Girl's Track Team for 11 years. I started my cheerleading career when I was in high school, where I cheered for my school's competition and sideline squads. Fun fact, I was the first sophomore in my school's history to make their competition team! While in high school, I also cheered for an all-star team, and during my senior year, I was voted as one of the Top 25 Senior Cheerleaders in South Dakota. After high school, I cheered for my college's coed sideline squad and coed competition team. When I am not coaching, I am spending time with my family. We are a big sports family, so you will often see me cheering for my kids on the sidelines! My favorite part of coaching is seeing the girls grow over the season. I love being able to see the girls come together as a team and achieve more than they could have imagined while having fun along the way.

Assitant Coaches
Coach Marisa

My name is Marisa and I help coach C and D teams. I have been assisting in this role with the SW Panthers since 2018. I cheered through middle school, high school, and college. I made the All-American team in high school and traveled to Hawaii to cheer in the Aloha Bowl. I love seeing the girls bond over team building while improving their sharpness and skills. Watching them build their confidence and pride in themselves as up and coming women is an added bonus. Cheerleading not only teaches determination and dedication, which are life skills that help adulthood, but the memories built are priceless. In my free time, I work the midnight shift as a Medical Examiner Investigator and also as an Instructor to Law Enforcement and First Responders on Crime Scene Investigation. I love spending time watching my 13 year old son play baseball and we love spending our vacations in Disney.
