Snowboard Travel Team

U12+ Age Class (10+ Years Old)

The Bogus Snowboard Team is for athletes who are passionate about competing in a terrain park focused environment. This program’s primary focus is to create a training and competition atmosphere that is challenging, and relevant to the current and future potential of the athlete. The Snowboard Team will focus on transferring their riding skills into the terrain parks where they will build jump and rail tricks. Athletes will also be expected to work on snowboard fundamentals and technique, in steeps, trees, moguls, groomers, crud, powder, and race courses as well as tactics and competition planning for upcoming events. Athletes compete in local and regional USASA events according to the discipline they choose, including: slopestyle, rail jam, skicross, and halfpipe. As well, athletes have the opportunity to compete in local IFSA Big Mountain events. Additionally, athletes and coaches will utilize video analysis and use video to build an online presence.

Snowboarders must be comfortable riding all of Bogus Basin, including the terrain parks. Athletes must be able to link consistent turns on a variety of terrain and in a variety of snow conditions.
