Worthington Youth Boosters is committed to providing a safe environment for its members and participants and to preventing abusive conduct in any form.  In compliance with Federal, State, and Local law, every member of this organization is responsible for protecting our participants and ensuring their safety and well-being while involved in sponsored activities. To this end, we have established a vetting process for all of our staff and volunteers. 


Before serving WYB in any capacity, the following are required:

☑ Agreement to act in accordance with WYB policy (valid for 1 year)

☑ Review and acknowledge understanding of materials on sudden cardiac arrest in sports, in accordance with Lindsay's Law, Ohio Revised Code 3313.53103707.58 and 3707.59  (valid for 1 year)

☑ Certification, Concussion in Sports awareness training, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 3707.511 Concussion awareness, training and procedures in youth sports organizations (valid for 3 years)

☑ Certification, Abuse Prevention training (ages 18+), in accordance with Federal Law S.534 - Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017  (valid for 1 year) [NEW PROCESS]


☑ Background check (ages 18+) (valid for 2 years) [NEW PROCESS - a background check will be ordered after you appear in the system for the above Abuse Prevention training]


☑ Registration with WYB as a coach or volunteer, which includes proof of the above requirements (valid for 1 year)
