The Glastonbury Softball Association (GSA) provides competitive travel softball teams comprised solely of Glastonbury residents.  The GSA program complements the offerings provided by Glastonbury Little League (GLL).  Although GSA and GLL are separate programs, the two organizations cooperate to provide opportunities for Glastonbury residents to play softball, provide clinics and other training opportunities, and support infrastructure improvements for softball in Glastonbury.

Below is an outline of how a player's Glastonbury softball career can progress from age 5 through a senior in high school.  This progression allows individuals to play softball year round in Glastonbury in teams comprised fully of Glastonbury residents.

All the ages below are in terms of "softball age" which is the player’s age as of December 31 for the subsequent calendar year.  For example, a player who is 12 on December 31, 2014, is "softball 12" for all of calendar year 2015 (even if the player turns 13 during 2015).

GSA Blue Hawks is a competitive travel softball program with teams formed after open tryouts and that a roster position is not guaranteed.  GLL is an open recreation program where all players who sign up by the deadline are placed on a team.
