10U Red Devils World Series and State Champs!
Ending the season with a 15-0 run, the 10u Red Devils won the Georgia State Championship in Ringgold, Georgia before traveling to Southhaven, Mississippi for the Dizzy Dean World Series where they would dominate the competition with great pitching, solid defense and clutch hitting. The 10u Red Devils ended their summer with a 27-7 record, racking up four tournament wins over seven weeks and earning back to back State Championships!
Leading the charge were the three-headed monster of Baylor Rogers, Rolan Potts and Jack Hurlburt who combined to pitch 84 innings, with 100 strike outs and less than 30 walks all summer. Behind the great pitching, Red Devil Aidan Lesane led an amazing defense that made only 54 errors in 163 innings. At the plate, the Red Devils were led by Charlie Parsons who hit a team leading .622 and Bobby Frierson who hit four home runs and batted .560.
The season culminated in an epoch effort at the Dizzy Dean World Series where Charlie Frederick went 8 for 9 in the tournament and Baylor Rogers threw nine innings of shutout baseball. With the support of pitchers like Hudson Cobb and Parker Burst the Devils stifled the competition. Red Devils Ryan Liu and AJ Ranero added consistent defensive play and timely hitting, while Devil Cade Goodmark came alive for 3 RBI’s in the championship game.
A great summer for the entire Red Devil nation and many thanks to all those who have supported the program this year and in the past. We are very excited to build on this historic season as the 10u tournament team moves over to the friendly confines of Field 1.
