The Stan Brown Jamboree is held in honorable memory of Mr. Stan Brown, who served our Little League organization and District 15 for many decades. This tournament, now int it's 10th anniversary year, is played in honor of Stan Brown and in support of the Stanley F. Brown Jamboree Memorial Scholarship. It is essential that we join our efforts in volunteerism to raise the funds for this great cause!. WE NEED THE SUPPORT OF OUR COMMUNITY!! Here's how you can help:
Volunteer opportunities include announcers, scoreboard operators, DJs, snack bar attendants, field crews and clean up crews at both Tapley Fields and Plains Park. Below are descriptions ...
Announcer: Be DNATS own Jeremy Remy and announce a game or two or more! Full script provided. Orientation and support always given. Kids LOVE hearing their names announced at the games like the pros!!! Bring a buddy, pairs welcome!!! Keep scoreboard up to date as well!
DJ: “spin those records” or cds I mean “shuffle” our playlist from the leagues preloaded tablets and get the players and fans revved for the Ballgame!!! Just don't have too much fun you have a job to do and help announcer manage scoreboard!
Cleanup Crew: the obvious... remember someone has to do it and many hands make for light work! Help us keep our field and playground looking great and stay a place we can be proud of. Its EVERYONES JOB, grownups and kids alike.
Field Crew: Do you have a green thumb or knack for landscaping? Help us keep our fields looking great for this tournament. Training provided and get the chance to use the fun “field toys”. Prepare baselines, paint the home plate box, etc. Many hands make for light work! Bring a friend, bring a family or bring the block and stay for the game!!!
Snack Bar: Get your Pizza, popcorn and hotdogs here! We have Iced cold beverages, slushies and all kinds of treats even some healthy picks too! Help us serve up our snacks and keep our players, families and fans happy and supporting our cause!
